A Chicago police officer escorts a distraught woman back to a police vehicle she was sitting in at the scene where three women were shot, two fatally, in the 8600 block of South Wood Street Monday, June 22, 2020, in the Gresham neighborhood of Chicago. The women were identified as Frances Neal, 56, and Jasmine Neal, 27, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The shootings began with a domestic attack. A man began beating his 22-year-old girlfriend after she did not make him breakfast, according to police. The 22-year-old woman then called her relative Frances Neal to come to pick her up. The 22-year-old walked out of the house with the man, who then pulled out a handgun and shot all three women, according to police.
